Urban and Regional Planning is the art of coordinating land use development for the population’s social, economic, and political good. It is a multifaceted discipline that includes both urban design and planning. Spatial planning is used at the local, regional, and national levels to develop, execute, and evaluate development policy. Social justice, affordable housing, sustainable cities, mobility and traffic congestion, climate and the environment, community development, and economic growth are only a few of the areas in which planners have common interests.
A degree in Urban and Regional planning can open job opportunities for you in both private and public organizations, financial institutions, international organizations, planning agencies, and environmental units. They may also work for themselves.
