Programme Description Duration: 4 years

Economics is a social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services, as well as the resource allocation decisions made by individuals, businesses, governments, and nations.

An economist studies the relationship between a society’s resources and its output or production, and their views help shape economic policies concerning interest rates, tax laws, employment programs, international trade agreements, and corporate strategies.

Economist, Financial risk analyst, Data analyst, Financial consultant, and Investment analyst are some of the career paths for economics graduates.


UTME subjects to include Economics, Mathematics and one other Arts or social science subject.

Direct Entry

Two ‘A’ level passes to include Economics and one other relevant subject. OND or HND with credit passes in relevant subjects.


Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language,  Mathematics, Economics and two other Arts or Social Science subjects.
