Programme Overview
Understand Crime, Behaviour and Security
The B.Sc Criminology and Security Studies programme is aimed at
exposing students to the causes, expressions and consequences of
criminal behaviour and security.
The programme provides detailed descriptions and rationales of
criminal behaviour that can be used to develop effective social
policies and agencies.
Students are introduced to ways of examining crime, security and
human behaviour while developing analytical thinking that can
support work across public service, investigation and
security-related environments.
Criminology asks why crime happens and how society responds.
Understanding behaviour, evidence and social conditions can help
institutions develop more effective responses to crime and
security.
